Last updated: August 10, 2026

The seller's legal business name is Lyrqly (“Lyrqly”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Lyrqly is the business and data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Lyrqly operates the website and service available at https://lyrqly.com. Our business address and jurisdiction are listed in the “Contact” section at the bottom of this policy.

1. What we collect

  • Account info: Your email address and password (stored securely as a hash) when you create an account.
  • Content you upload: Audio files, images, video files, and lyric text that you provide to create videos. These are processed to generate your lyric video and are not shared with anyone.
  • Payment info: We do not store your credit card details. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller, Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles all payment, billing, tax, and invoice data securely. We only receive confirmation that your payment succeeded and which plan you are on.
  • Usage data: Basic analytics like which features you use and how often, so we can improve the product.
  • Technical data: Browser type, device type, and IP address, collected automatically when you visit.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To process your subscription and keep track of your plan.
  • To run our AI transcription feature on audio you upload.
  • To improve Lyrqly by understanding how features are used.
  • To send you important notices about your account or our service.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information or your uploaded content to anyone. We do not use your songs to train AI models.

3. AI processing

When you ask Lyrqly to transcribe a song, the audio is sent to an AI service to generate timed lyrics. This processing is done for the sole purpose of creating your video. The audio is processed in real time and is not retained by the AI provider beyond what is needed to return the result.

4. Who we share data with

We share data only with service providers that help us run Lyrqly:

  • Paddle.com: Our online reseller and Merchant of Record for subscriptions, billing, tax, and payment processing.
  • AI transcription service: Processes audio to generate lyric timing.
  • Hosting provider: Hosts the website and database.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

5. Data retention

  • Your account data is kept for as long as your account is active.
  • Uploaded audio, images, and video are processed in your browser and are not permanently stored on our servers unless you explicitly save a project.
  • If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to keep records.
